Presentation will include information on investment vehicles, M&A, distribution, intellectual property, and financing.  We will specifically discuss opportunities in the United States, Hong Kong, mainland China, Indonesia, Canada, Israel, and the United Kingdom. 


Companies will learn about the legal aspects of doing business in USA in particular, as well as in other countries such as China, Hong Kong and Indonesia.  The Speakers will speak on USA Governance, Merger and Acquisition Guidelines and opportunities in the USA as well as how to obtain financing for your investment.


Speakers' Bio :

Mr David Cheng is the chair and managing partner of Nixon Peabody’s China and Asia-Pacific practice. He is qualified in both the United States and Hong Kong. He focuses on cross-border transactions, litigations and investigations, advising on issues ranging from acquisitions, capital financing (initial public offering), intellectual property protection and disputes to fraud, FCPA and SEC investigations. He has a client portfolio from all over the world: United States, Middle East, Europe, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, China and Hong Kong.


Mr David Kaufman is the Director of Global Strategies at Nixon Peabody LLP. In this role, he manages and helps develop strategy for the firm’s International Practice, international offices, and relationships with law firms around the world. He has a long history of doing business in China and has worked with NP’s robust China Practice since its creation. Outside the United States, NP has offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore, and London. During his tenure, David has served in a variety of business development positions at the firm, including supervising the regional marketing function and supporting an array of practice groups/industries.



Ms Angeline Suparto is a consultant at Nixon Peabody CWL. Angeline is qualified in Hong Kong, Singapore, United Kingdom and Australian Capital Territory and is an appointed commissioner of oath and notary public in Singapore. She is the founder of Angeline Suparto & Company and its Jakarta-associated office in 2001. The firm was corporatized and renamed to Angeline Suparto Law Corporation (ASLC) in November 2011 and is closely associated with Dau & Tuah, a law firm in Jakarta. ASLC is a boutique law firm focusing on corporate and commercial law in Singapore, with a particular focus on investment and cross-border transactions.
