Closed-Door Engagement Session with Minister Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Trade and Industry

The Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) hosted a closed-door engagement session with Minister Chan Chun Sing on 4 April 2019 to gather industry feedback on challenges and opportunities in relations to Industry 4.0.

5 April 2019 - The Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) hosted a closed-door engagement session with Minister Chan Chun Sing on 4 April 2019 to gather industry feedback on challenges and opportunities in relations to Industry 4.0. This was the second time that Minister Chan came to the SMF premise, with the first time in February 2018, when he was the Secretary-General of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC).

The SMF hosted a closed-door engagement session with Minister Chan Chun Sing to gather industry feedback on challenges and opportunities in relations to Industry 4.0.


Held at the SMF building, the session was attended by a focused group of a small number of SMF members from different industries in the manufacturing sector. The session was a frank discussion about the challenges which manufacturers face in today’s competitive environment. Minister urged companies to partner with the SMF and government agencies to overcome these challenges.
