Conversation with the British High Commissioner - HIS EXCELLENCY SCOTT WIGHTMAN Brexit and United Kingdom Going Forward

On the 13^th of May 2019, the British High Commissioner H.E Scott Wightman was invited by the SMF to give his remarks on the ongoing Brexit saga, its possible outcomes, as well discuss on how the UK is taking this opportunity to shift its focus to Asia, the most dynamic region of the global economy and develop ambitious new bilateral trade arrangements with Asian economies post Brexit.

Dr Bicky Bhangu, Deputy President of the SMF was also invited to give his remarks on UK Singapore ties. The highlight of the event was a panel discussion (Q & A Session) on the uncertainties to businesses caused by Brexit and what the British government is doing to lessen the impact of Brexit on the British economy & businesses affected by it.
